How to get yourself out of bed? Rent a dune buggy

Okay, I am still managing to get through my rads. This weekend I was so weak, I asked for assistance walking from the bathroom to the bedroom. Did not want to take the risk for falling and breaking the hip that was just radiated with a burst of 8 of 10. Days of constant painkillers is also not my cup of tea, with a touch of fever now and again.  I think I am doing pretty well for only 10 days of recovery.

My goal, and I think every cancer-patient should have a goal to get yourself out of bed, is to travel in 4 days time to the summer beach home. This will not be an easy trip because the train is under repair and it will require 3 changes and with a 3 year old that in itself is a feat. First a train then a metro (i am counting that combo as the first change).  Then a bus that claims to take exactly an hour from point a to point b. Then the last leg of the trip is the scenic route that the bus feels like it stops every hundred yards. Which will probably take another hour that would normally take 15 minutes by car. I am half tempted to rent a dune buggy for the day.  I am going to look at the forecast and if it is sunny, convertible here I come.
